June 2018 Meeting Minutes
Meeting commenced at 8:02 AM in the Old Lyme Town Hall. Present: Bob Jose, John Stratton, Heather Gagnon, Joe Camean, Howard Marguilas
Special Guest(s): Bonnie Reemsnyder, First Selectwoman
May, 2018 minutes approved and accepted.
• Bonnie discussed CERC Report and background and recommended that the EDC take the lead with CERC including the responsibility for requesting the funding
• Bonnie briefly described the budget process and explained that the EDC has two possible ways to proceed given that the request is greater than $20K
• prepare a proposal and take it to the Board of Selectman, the Board of Finance, and then hold a town meeting
• Or, prepare a proposal for the next annual budget (process starts in October 2018)
• 0825 The committee unanimously approved a motion to proceed with coordinating a self-assessment meeting with CERC
• 0826 Heather departs
• 0830 discussed timing for when to meet with CERC and that the members of Halls Rd Improvement project should be invited.
• 0840 Bonnie departs
• 0840 committee discusses what final product from CERC might look like and whether we should consider obtaining a quote from another similar organization
• 0845 - 0910 committee discusses general economic condition of Old Lyme
• 0910 Meeting adjourned
